I am Stephen Westwood an independent consultant with a passion for enabling businesses to grow through IT driven change. My expertise lies in bridging the gap between technology and a business outcome. I specialise in leading the change and making sure that both strategy and detail are understood.

With an aversion to not delivering real change I will always place an emphasis on business change, making a change stick and not just delivering Information Technology.

I have previous experience in manufacturing, designing shop floors and running assembly lines. Factories are a great place for learning about managing and leading people. Many of the lessons where hard but they have stuck with me and form the basis of my desire to help others to succeed. 

Fascinated by the explosion of the web, eCommerce and its ability to change the way business is done I migrated to Information Technology. I spent time in Corporate Business delivering large scale IT change projects learning what works and what is likely to cause problems. 

It is remarkable that no matter what size the business 1/3 of the issues are the same, a 1/3 are the same in a different context and 1/3 are unique to the business.
